Public school jobs - June 1st & Sept 1st star

Hi everyone, What a busy time it has been lately, since the new school yr in Korea just started March 2nd. We had over 100 teachers land in Korea in the last 2 weeks, so we\'re getting daily reports from teachers having the time of their lives! We have also just received an order for 103 middle & high school teachers, and about 100 elementary school teachers, to start no later than June 1st. These jobs will be on high demand, so please do not hesitate. Once you send in your online application, one of our Teacher Reps: Dan, Shawna, Michelle, or Andrea will help walk you through the process. Teachers get to request the city, and age of students they prefer. These jobs are also open to couples, even though you won\'t be at the same school, but can share an apartment. Please let us know if you have any questions at all, so we can help you with this exciting, yet sometimes overwhelming process!!!

Dan & Aggie - going to Korea!!!!

We are excited to confirm that Aggie and I will be traveling to Korea on April 15th, and we absolutely can\'t wait!!! Our plan is to meet as many of our teachers in Korea as possible, as well as touch base with all of the schools we work with. We will also be meeting LOTS of new schools, which have been recommended to us by current foreign teachers (friends of our teachers usually). During this trip, we will be showing these schools the selection of teachers we have on file for them to choose from. We expect these schools to hire teachers to start between June 1st and Sept 1st. We will meet with both kindy (10am-6pm) and ele/middle (1-9pm) type schools, in a few cities. If you are considering teaching in Korea, it is best to make sure we have your information on file soon, so we can review everything with you (so we know what you want in a city, and school - as well as help you prepare documents) before this trip. If we don\'t have your application, the schools simply can\'t consider you for their school. Please send us any questions you might have, and we\'ll be happy to help!

Important update - Aug 2009

We have noticed a few recent trends in the ESL market place in Korea lately. 1) Jobs are on extremely high demand, and schools are being very picky on who they hire. Please try and be as flexible as possible. We promise to place you in a reliable school, and help connect you to the foreigner community in Korea. Focus on the experience. 2) Schools who are now calling us, are urgently looking for asap, or Sept 1st start dates. So, get your documents in order, and be ready to make a decision. 3) Most public school jobs are close to being filled. We have also found our hogwans (private schools) seem to offer better support for 1st time teachers in Korea. This is due to the network of other native teachers at your school. 4) Jobs inside what is truly Seoul, or Busan, are extremely hard to come by lately. Applicants are having their best luck in the satellite cities, and within 1 hr of Seoul....or other major cities with over 700,000 people. We look forward to continuing to help motivated, open-minded people find jobs in Korea! We\'re likely going to help 400 amazing people, in 2009, so apply now, and join our exciting team!!!
