There are more applicants than available jobs. The overall quality of the applicants is also noticeably increasing.
EPIK finished hiring 3 months ago and GEPIK has been hiring for at least 2 months so most public school jobs have been filled for the Sept intake of teachers.
Most schools prefer swf's from N. America.
It is becoming more challenging to find couple jobs.

We are aware of the horror stories out there about unreliable hogwans. This is why we started our company, and are here to help. In 2011, about 250 of our 350 teachers went to hogwans and we're confident the vast majority of them would recommend TEK to their friends. Also, the Korean government has really cleaned up the shady hogwans even before they can hire a native teacher, and protecting teachers by the court of law, should something go wrong. The government has equally increased its regulation of teachers by requiring crc's, health checks and proof of regulated teachers more over the last 5 yrs.
SR's and schools view our database profiles of all of our Active Job Hunt teachers, and request interviews for 1-3 teachers they like.
After the interview, they will offer a contract to the teacher they liked the best. Be ready to act swiftly!
